Nose and tail blocks. Looking at other wood boards, some are made w/o this kind of crafting. To us, adding this kind of touch not only creates an awesome finish, it harkens back to days when foam boards used wood nose and tal blocking. Click on images to enlarge

Just laying out decking for color and shape. Using some nicely grained Poplar, Cedar and Spruce. Just finished first three side rails. Hate doing those, they take so long, need to steam them into shape then plane down for proper fitting.

Bottom decking to rib/spar structure.

Amazing how much shavings come from just drilling lighting holes in a spar.
Just started this Nose Rider, little shorter than last two.
Spar getting fix into jig for rib glue up. Amazing how much sawdust drilling lightening holes generates. Here's the bottom decking, still bit of work ahead before marrying rib and decking.
